Police Appeal for Information on Man Connected to Theft Incident

Police have been making ongoing enquiries into a theft incident that took place back in December. Whilst an arrest was made, it’s thought the man pictured may be able to assist them further.

The incident itself happened in Shirley at around 1:40pm on 7 December. A female driver of a Harvest Fine Foods van had parked up in Church End to carry out a delivery. She bruised her leg in the process, and before she could return to the van, someone had driven off in it.

The van itself didn’t travel far and was located less than a mile away in Hardy Close. However, the driver’s work phone and three boxes of mince pies valued at £30 were missing.

As we said, police did follow up on the matter, and arrested a 42 year old male.  He was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle and driving whilst disqualified. He’s been released on bail for the time being whilst enquiries continue.

Police do believe that the man pictured will be able to offer them vital information. Therefore, if you know him and/or where he is, please contact them on 101 quoting 44220495114.
