12 year old girl seriously injured in collision; can you help?

There was a serious collision in Eastleigh yesterday, Saturday 11 March, and police are now asking for any witnesses to come forward.

Just after 2pm, police were called to the incident, which happened on Twyford Road, not too far from St John’s Road. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was a 12 year old girl, and she suffered serious injuries to her arm and head. She was taken to hospital to receive the appropriate treatment, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

This is a busy stretch of road and it’s likely that many will have been in the area at the time. If you were, and saw anything, or if you have dashcam footage that may have captured the incident, please report it.

Information can be passed to the police online, or by calling 101. The reference to quote is 44230098360.

Thoughts are with those who were involved, and we hope the young girl makes a full and speedy recovery.
