Police appeal for information on Southampton assault following release of images

Police are appealing for information after an assault that took place on London Road in the early hours of Monday 6 February. During the altercation between two groups of people, two men were assaulted, one of whom suffered a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.

Officers investigating the incident have released images of two men who they believe may have information valuable to their enquiries. They are asking anyone who recognises the individuals or knows their whereabouts to come forward and contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 44230049831.

Detective Inspector Jane McBride, who is leading the investigation, said: “We believe that the two men pictured may have information that could assist us with our enquiries into this serious assault. I would urge anyone who recognises them, or who has any information about the incident, to come forward and speak to us as soon as possible.”
