Man arrested for driving without a licence and insurance in Sholing

Late last night (5 March), police were called to Spring Road, Sholing, following reports of a male pushing his car down the road and then up Wrights Hill. It was reported that the man had allowed his car to reverse into a parked vehicle and a wooden post, causing minor damage.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered that the car had no insurance and was registered as off road. The driver, who could not provide a valid reason for his behaviour, also admitted to driving without a license.

The officers seized the car for having no insurance and reported the driver for driving without a valid license. The police are currently investigating the incident and the man will face charges for his actions.

Driving without insurance or a valid license is a serious offense that can result in large fines, points on a license, and even a jail sentence. The police are urging drivers to make sure that their vehicles are insured and they possess a valid driving license before getting behind the wheel.
