WATCH: Theft of campervan caught on video

Campervan stolen in Southampton.

A retired couple visiting the city from Spain had their beloved campervan stolen in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 1 February.

The Ford campervan, with a Spanish registration number 9572 KSB, was parked on King Edward Avenue when it was taken.

The couple, staying in a property nearby, were shocked to find the vehicle missing upon waking up.  Police were immediately informed, and an investigation is underway to try and locate it.

Police are now seeking the public’s help in gathering any information or CCTV footage that could help identify the thief, or the location of the vehicle.

We have included security footage of the theft, and it is hoped that someone may recognise those responsible.  If you have any information, you are urged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 20230201-0555.

The couple are hopeful that their campervan will be located soon, and that the thief will be brought to justice. They are appealing to the public to help them, not least given the sentimental value the van holds.
