Knife and drugs found during Ocean Village arrest

Police were in action around Ocean Village yesterday, 13 January, and a male was arrested in the process.

The man was detained for a search under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act. This happened around 5:45pm in the car park of the Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis Pub.

Their search uncovered a quantity of cannabis, cash, mobile phones, and other drug related paraphernalia. He was also concealing a knife in his jacket. Needless to say, all items were seized.

The man in question was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, possession of a bladed article, obstructing police, and possession of criminal property.

Police have urged the public to continue reporting drug related activity. Similarly, they’d be keen to hear from people with information about knife crime; neither have a place on the streets.
