15 year old arrested in SO19 after discovery of goods amounting to £10K
As reported yesterday, police on the East Side of the city (Sholing area) were successful over the weekend in recovering a number of bicycles, and a motorbike. This came after a search was carried out at a property, and police have today provided a further update.
With the exception of the GOCYCLE bike, all bikes have now been returned to their rightful owners. The owner of the white GOCYCLE bike is still unknown.
Further to the above, police have confirmed that a 15 year old boy has been arrested in relation to two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, and two counts of burglary.
Further searches revealed another bicycle, multiple power tools, 11 electric storage heaters, and many other items suspected to have been stolen. In all, police estimate the combined value of stolen goods to be around £10,000. Further, whilst yesterday’s report included the theft of a motorbike from Dorset, it’s suspected that many of the latest items found were stolen from the Winchester area.
In respect of the latest bicycle found, an owner has yet to be identified. Therefore, they’ve asked that the image be shared, with a view to getting it back where it belongs.
The other pictures are the additional items believed to have been stolen.
