Woman assaulted while waiting to pick child up from school

Police are appealing for help to identify a man in connection with an assault on a female that took place earlier this month.

Between 3pm and 3:30pm on 8 September, the victim was waiting in her vehicle, in advance of picking her child up from a nearby school. This was in Kesteven Way, SO18, and whilst waiting, an unknown man assaulted her.

The man in question is described as being 20-25 years of age, very slim and around 5’5 in height. He had fair hair and facial hair on his upper lip. An e-fit image has been produced, as can be seen.

At the time of the assault, the man was wearing oval shaped glasses, an off-white t-shirt and navy tracksuit bottoms. He was also carrying a blue fleece.

Given the time of day, it’s likely that a number of people would have been in the area, which is near to the roundabout accessing Townhill Way, West End Road and Mousehole Lane. If you were, or if you live in the area and have any information (CCTV perhaps) that could help police, please make contact with them.

Information can be given online, or by calling 101. The reference to quote is 44220366863.
