Police appeal for witnesses following assault on lady in Eastleigh

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an assault took place in Bishopstoke, near Eastleigh.

The incident in question took place on Sunday 4 September, sometime around 9pm.

A lady in her 40s was walking along Underwood Road and Alan Drayton Way, and was being followed by a male. When she reached an unlit area near to Lynx Close, the man assaulted her by dragging her to the ground.

The lady was able to free herself from the struggle, and evaded the male. Thankfully, she only suffered minor injuries during the attack, but nonetheless, it would have been a scary ordeal.

The culprit is also likely to have received injuries to his face whilst the female was defending herself. He’s described as;

White
Early 30s
Approx 6’2 in height
Brown hair.

If you were around the area at the time of the incident and witnessed anything, please contact the police. Similarly, if you have any CCTV around the area, and have footage of a female and male following her around the time, this could also be vital to the ingoing investigations.
