Police release e-fit of man following robbery

Following on from our story on 12 August, police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A teen was threatened before having items taken from him on 11 August and the police made an appeal for any witnesses to come forward.

Between 7:10pm and 8:15pm, the young man was walking along St James Road. Initially a cyclist went by, but then turned and followed the victim into South View Road. The cyclist made threats to the teen before demanding he hand over his phone and ear pods. The cyclist then made off towards Southampton Common.

The cyclist is described as follows;

– White male

– 5’6 to 5’8 in height

– Slender build

– Short dark blonde hair

– Full ginger beard.

He was wearing a white T-Shirt, shorts and Jordan trainers with red on them. He also had a red Adidas bag across and was riding a small black bike.

Police have said the following via their online appeal;

If you were in the area, did you witness this incident described or have CCTV, dash-cam or Ring doorbell footage that may have captured the incident? Did you see a person described as above riding a black bicycle?

Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 44220325567.

Alternatively, you can contact independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.

We hope the teen lad isn’t too shaken up by this incident. We also hope his items are recovered and returned.
