Man charged following multiple burglaries

Following a spate of city centre burglaries, a 52 year old Southampton man has been charged, and has appeared in court.

Navroz Sarkari of Lyon Street, has been charged in respect of three counts of burglary dwelling and theft  – no violence, and attempted dwelling burglary with intent to steal.

The three burglary charges are in respect of incidents in Cranbury Place, Wilton Avenue and Hulse Road between 16 June and 7 July. The other charge relates to an incident in Bellevue Terrace on 16 June.

Sarkari appeared at the Magistrates’ Court late last week, and his scheduled date with the Crown Court is 5 September.
