Police issue update to dispersal order

You may have seen our story yesterday about a dispersal order in place in the City Centre; police have now provided an update.

The dispersal order was in place from 3pm on Wednesday  and ended at 23:59 last night. It was put in place following reports of ASB, particularly in the area of Cossack Green.

Police have confirmed that six people were asked to leave the area at around 5:30pm yesterday. That request also means they should not return there for at least 24 hours.

Whilst the dispersal order has ended, police will still continue to patrol the area. They’ve also urged the public to continue reporting incidents of ASB.
