Two arrested after bag searched at skatepark

Totton police made two arrests Thursday for suspected drug related offences.

They were on patrol around teatime and engaging with youngsters at the skate park on Ashurst Bridge Road. Whilst there, they witnessed a man place a bag among other rucksacks that were already on the ground close by.

Officers then spoke to the man and detained him for a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act. In turn, they found a quantity of cash, Class B drugs and other drug related paraphernalia. All these items were seized.

Further to the arrests, a property in Calmore Road was searched, and their find was very similar to that from the skate park. Again, items were seized.

The two males (from Calmore and aged 52 and 19) were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug. They remain in custody at this time.
