Man arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Eastleigh

Police arrested a man yesterday (Wednesday) on suspicion of drug offences; the arrest was made on Twyford Road, Eastleigh.

During the afternoon, officers on patrol spotted a silver VW Jetta being driven suspiciously. The driver pulled into a petrol station on the same road, and police took the opportunity to speak with the driver.

On conducting a search of the VW, police found a quantity of cash along with suspected Class A drugs. As a consequence, these were seized, as was the vehicle.

The driver, a 26 year old male from Middlesex was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He’s since been released on conditional bail until 13 July.
