Witness appeal after motorcycle collides with car in Sholing

We are sharing an appeal for witnesses, CCTV and/or dashcam footage after a 27 year old motorcyclist was involved in a collision yesterday.

The collision happened at around 7am yesterday morning on North East Road, Sholing. The 27 year old male was riding along NE Road, when a car pulled out from High Firs Road. His initial attempts to alert the driver prior to her turning from High Firs Road were to no avail, and he was unable to avoid colliding with the car. In doing so, he was thrown from the bike.

Thankfully, the driver did stop. Further, whilst the gentleman was taken to hospital for tests, he has been able to return home. It’s a blessing that he doesn’t appear to have any serious, long lasting injuries, but this could’ve been so different.

If you witnessed the incident, or if you live in the area and have footage that may capture that junction, please get in touch. Any supporting evidence will certainly help the victim when it comes to pursuing an insurance claim.

We’re glad the gentleman is home and wish him a speedy recovery from the injuries sustained.
