Teen hospitalised after nightclub assault

Police have issued a plea for witnesses after an incident that took place inside Switch nightclub on Above Bar Street. 

A 19 year old male was punched in the face and head on a stairwell inside the club. This was at around 2am on Thursday 12 May, and the man was not known to the victim.

The attack resulted in the male receiving serious injuries to his eye. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital,  but has since been discharged.

Currently the police have a limited description, which they’ve released in the hope that it may help jog someone’s memory:
