Police name lady involved in collision with car

You may remember reading of an incident that happened around 10pm on 2 May. A car had collided with a pedestrian on Bitterne Road West, with the pedestrian passing away as a result.

Whilst there was speculation at the time, and has been since, police have now confirmed that the victim was Clare Munn, 45, of Ellwood Avenue. She’ll have been known to many, but previous activity aside, our thoughts are and will remain with those that knew her well.

Police are still investigating the incident and are appealing for any further witnesses to come forward. At this time, the driver of the Audi A4 involved is continuing to help with their enquiries.
