Man arrested for attempted murder after Above Bar incident

The police are investigating an incident that took place during the early hours of this morning. A man was found with serious injuries in Above Bar Street at around 4am.

They have arrested three men, with one of them, a 21 year old male from Southampton arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.  A 17 year old boy from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, the details of the third person arrested has not been confirmed.

The victim was taken to hospital where he remains with potentially life changing injuries.
