12 year old boy among four arrested on drug and knife charges

At lunchtime on Thursday, 7 April, police stopped a silver VW Golf in Staplehurst Close, SO19.  A search of the occupants and car was carried out.

Quite alarmingly, police seized drugs, phones and cash during the search. In adddition they also seized two knives.

The four occupants of the car were all arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.

All four males were from the Southampton area. In the group of four was one lad of just 12 years old. He has since been released under investigation while further enquiries take place.

The other three males (one age 19 and two aged 20) have been granted conditional bail until 5 May whilst enquiries continue.
