Machetes and balaclavas – bikers pursued by police

Police are appealing for help from the public to identify three males. The three in question were seen yesterday lunchtime on two motorbikes, and were reportedly carrying machetes.

The reports to the police at around 1:26pm initiated a response from them, and they deployed to the Weston area of SO19. Specifically, the males had been seen in and around International Way and later moved out of the estate and up towards Chamberlayne Leisure Centre. Unfortunately, police were unable to locate them.

The images available aren’t too clear, but it was possible to gather descriptions of the males, as well as the bikes.

One of the bikes was a larger, dark coloured moped. The other was smaller, with a black frame, described as being more of a sports type bike.

Two males were on the larger bike. The driver was wearing a black, blue and silver helmet and is also said to have been wearing a balaclava. He had a light grey tracksuit and white trainers with a black stripe. He was later seen wearing a black and green helmet. The second male on that bike had a dark, thick jacket with a blue hood underneath and dark trousers. He too was wearing a balaclava and was later seen wearing the helmet originally worn by the driver.

On the second, smaller bike was a male in a balaclava. He was wearing dark trousers and dark shoes. His dark jumper had white sleeves and hood.

Police aren’t aware of any threats being made by the males, nor are they aware of any injuries being caused. However, as you can imagine, they’d still like to catch up with them.

Were you in the area? Do you have any footage that may help identify the males? Do you know the males in question from the images or the descriptions given?
