£23,000 worth of jewellery stolen in Southampton

Southampton Police are appealing to the public for help to identify this man.  They would like to speak to him after more than £23,000 worth of watches were stolen from a jewellery store in Southampton.

It’s said that at 16:07 on Wednesday, 23rd February, a man entered Goldsmiths, West Quay. He asked to view three watches and made off with them after the assistant bought the watches out for viewing. He headed towards M&S and out of the complex exit next to that store.

The man is described as mixed race, 5ft 6ins, of slim build and with short dark hair.  He was wearing a long black Canada Goose style jacket with a hood, black trainers with white soles and black jeans.

The watches in question were Breitling, which as said, hold a very high value.

The police are keen to speak to anyone who recognises the man on the CCTV image. They’d also be keen to speak to anyone who has any information that could help with their enquiries.
