22 Year old male arrested for attempted murder

Further to our story yesterday about a stabbing that took place in Ascupart Road, the police have now provided an update.

To recap, police were called to the area in SO14 on Monday evening this week in response to a serious assault. A man, just 19 years of age had been stabbed, and was taken to hospital. He remains there at this time in a serious, but stable condition.

Subsequently, the police have confirmed that a 22 year old male has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody.

Needless to say, and as we’ve said before, knives ruin lives. There really is no need or place for them on the street.
