18 year old attempts to enter nightclub with a knife

Police were actively involved over the weekend following a call to Carlton Place in Southampton.

On Saturday night, shortly before 11pm, door staff at a venue in the City centre alerted police to a male who was trying to enter, but was also carrying a knife.

Police subsequently arrested and charged an 18 year old male. Kane Bell of Greenfields Avenue, Totton was charged with possession of a knife, blade or sharply pointed article in a public place.

Bell appeared before Southampton Magistrates this morning (4 July) and was given conditional bail pending a further court appearance in November.
